Description:
46KV suspensin silicone rubber insulator must pass material design tests , then can come into mass production. the following must be performed to cerfity a material for use in production.
1 Tracking test : a sample of material inclined at 30° and eletrodes positioned 35mm apart . samples are sprayed with a conductive solution and energized at 10kV . the cycle is repeated every 90 seconds.
The sample must withstand 20000 test cycles.
2 Ultraviolet test : samples of rubber must be tested in a QUV tester. it is exposed to high ultraviolet radiation and high humidity without cracking.
